The Butter Dish Project – Part 2

The saga of the butter dish project continues.

When we last spoke of the butter dish project, Mark had just created the shapes to go with the rest of our ceramics, adjusted the dimensions, formed the first clay prototypes, and prepared a method of making the pieces reproducibly. In the meantime, he bisque-fired the pieces, glazed them, and glaze-fired them.

Yesterday, the first pieces emerged from the kiln!

Mark cleaned them up, and I informed the first two lucky clients that their butter dishes were ready to pick up!
