A Photoshoot with the Cast of Beehive: the 60s Musical

As I approached our gallery on my bike on Sunday afternoon, I noticed that traffic was slowing down in both directions. When I got closer, the source of the slowdown on White Street became clear.

The Cast of Beehive Awaits

Arrayed in colorful 60s garb, stage makeup, and flamboyant hairstyles, the cast of Beehive: the 60s Musical was waiting for me outside the gallery. Ervin Tumm, one of our best clients, had made an appointment for a photoshoot. He often shows up with a friend or two, so I wasn’t totally surprised when the whole cast of a musical showed up.

Group Shots

Fresh from the success of a sold-out run at the Fringe Theater, the cast had an endearing camaraderie. It was fun to see and photograph their interactions as Ervin, their choreographer, shepherded them through the rounds of group shots.

Individual Shots

They each posed individually doing some of their dance moves from the musical. I wish I had more room to show all the great images of each cast member.

Previewing the Photos

Three costume changes, dozens of poses, and hundreds of photos later, they gathered around the computer to preview the shots. It was wonderful to hear them exclaim over the images of themselves and their friends. There’s nothing like seeing yourself in a flattering light.

Make an appointment for a fun photoshoot of your favorite cast of characters or just yourself! Drop by the gallery soon — you never know what great sights you’ll encounter!
